ncaa basketball is just completing it season. it has created a boom because of the exposure. the next couple of weeks i believe it will under perform. then after the masters. if tiger woods performs well. it should take off again.

I don't think the stock is based on sports performances. Heck, three of the teams in the final four (and the two in the championship game) are adidas teams. It doesn't hurt but people aren't watching the sports world to determine when to buy the stock. I bought Nike because of the solid growth, debt management, dividend and brand. It had a good earnings report- that's the reason for the recent boom.

Now I'm not perturbed if you don't like the stock, but there really isn't a good connection between the sports world's events and Nike's performance. They have sponsorships of just about everything and commercials for just about everything so you can always say they will benefit from this or that event.

just my opinion of why i picked the stock to under achieve. so far it has dropped 4%. your opinion is appreciated.
