I purchased this stock for my portfolio today at $65.00 per share. This is a well run company with a very strong brand name that has beaten the S&P average return over the last 5yr,3yr,1yr and 3mo periods of time. An investment of $10,000.00 Five years ago would now be worth about $25,500.00. It appears to me that this company should continue to outperform over the long term. The upcoming interest in the Olympics should help to promote their products. The near term problem for this company as well as most other retailers is the likelyhood that most consumers may avoid spending money on discretionary purchases. The possibility of slower sales has reduced the price of the stock to a point that I now consider it a strong buy.
I wish there was some way on CAPS to track a stock by the price I paid for it. It would be nice to be able to follow my actual cash profits and losses. I would suggest that this could be done in the watchlist section or another section where it would not interfer with what they are trying to do in analysing stocks. I would think it would be more helpful to actually follow investors money rather than the crazy shorting or buying of tiny companies with high beta's that is almost necessary to run up any big score.
