+ Watch NKE
on My Watchlist
The Company designs, develops and markets footwear, apparel, equipment, and accessory products.
Should've done this months ago, but time to downgrade a slew of consumer discretionary/retail companies. We are going to see a change in the standard of living in this country over the next decade, and these companies are flat out not going to see the performance of the past.
Well, good thing Nike does most of it's business internationally then.
Yes, 65.8% of Nike's market share is outside of the United States (as of November 2010). It's likely that number is even greater today.
I don't think the US will see a huge decline in the standard of living -- although our focus may be more frugal and more into value. Consumerism is changing and fewer of us will be acquiring lots of new "stuff" but the stuff we do buy will be of better quality and pricier. New industries like 3D printing will change the face of manufacturing and real estate is bouncing back. The US is still strong compared to many other countries -- like most of Europe. Now is the time to buy real estate and hold!
good call betting against Nike, the brand is so powerful how could you be so stupid?
