Seems like a good value at this level. I just don't see Nike taking much of a hit even in the event of a recession. Their global brand is super strong, and they still have a lot of growth to come in overseas markets, especially in Asia and Latin America.

You might be right about the flat-ness of the trading going forward, but what is very very important in the last earnings was that basketball shoes were giving way to lifestyle wear, much like what Puma and a few other brands are offering as a core competency. The days of everyone wanting the $135 basketball shoe are still around, but not like they used to be. Now, it's the $200 Puma in limited edition.

Yes, I agree that this is a concern but Nike has done a good job to place their brand across mulitple sports; golf, tennis, soccer, running etc. They are non existent in the lifestyle category and I would like to see them purchase a lifestyle brand and use their manufacturing and design capabilities to make a foray into that market. This way they wouldn't have to change what the Nike name stands for.Better yet, instead of purchasing another brand they could create a new line. "insert name here by Nike".
