Shouldn't say I was excited to see Nike get swatted on earnings, but I was. I jumped in here on the Fool at around the $90 mark and am absolutely thrilled to ride this one out into the future.
-Continues cranking out 10% growth on the bottom line with no real signs of a future slowdown
-1.5% dividend and 33% payout ratio leave room for div growth
-Has what I believe to be an easily achievable expected EPS for the upcoming quarter, which should lead to an analyst beat
-No major debt to speak of and a Forward PE of 17
While it is probably fairly valued with its latest haircut, I can easily imagine a world where Nike continues to outperform the S&P over the long haul. 5+ years.
