Nike, greek goddess of victory turned sports gear company. During the spring, I see at least 5 kids in every single one of my classes wearing nike paraphenalia. Its competitors, adidas and under armour, are known too, but the fact is, I would never buy them. I can see myself going out and buying Nike shoes. They're cool, durable, and flashy. Nike seems to have created a mind-set among kids that Nike=athletic. Besides the occasional toters of nike gear, there are people I like to call "Nike-ites." Nike-ites wear nothing but nike. Nike shoes, shirts, shorts, socks, belts, hats, braces! you name it they wear it. Nike is safe on rising income and set to grow. I think that it will be an excellent performer instead of just a passing trend.
