Microsoft will lose desktop market share to Linux (nowhere to go but down). Novell is very well positioned to capture some of that market in the next year or so and once they do it will then become the solid platform to launch their other products ...

Novell's performance in the Linux area is outperforming everyone else and the smart move to work with Microsoft isntead of against it will certainly help too

If linux does take over the workstation, NOVL will be the one to take the market share. RHAT is focused on servers but not the desktop. I think this is more of a longer term play but time will tell.

Has bungled their integration of Suse Linux into their portfolia and continue to focus on declining customer base. Their deal with M$ caused them to lose key people and erodes their ability to live and breathe enterprise Linux offerings.

Redhat is doing too much with too little. High cost of enterprise support and partially crippled OS. My personal expectations is for this stock to take over redhat shares
