If you are red thumbing NVR because you hate all builders red thumb away. If you are red thumbing NVR because you think the company is in trouble or is not run well.... you are barking up the wrong tree.
NVR is best in class in the industry. Don't bite into the only apple with a worm in it.
FB, you're the best at picking home builders, and you say this one is a winner. In the past 2 weeks insiders have sold over $137 million of NVR stock. What gives?
josher... maybe the insider (dwight) is getting margin calls on something else... lol..... I never put stock into any insider selling... my view on NVR is long term, they are well positioned to take advantage of everyone else capitulating... additionally, NVR gets a substantial portion of their earnings from the DC area... and with Obama getting in office what city is going to see job growth? and the number reason why housing stabilizes in any area of the country is demographics (birth / death) and job growth.....I'm just pissed that NVR is my top pick of my 5 green thumbs and 3 of those green thumbs are positive (not just vs. the S&P like CAPS counts it, but just up overall) and the 4th one is down a few percent.... Anyways, NVR is not being aggressive in this down turn... right now TOL has taken the lead in aggressiveness...
