NVS is an industry leader. Extremely strong drug portfolio, great pipeline and successful generics business hedges their risk of patent expiration. Healthy balance sheet, good returns on capital.

Novartis has a great range of drugs. I also like a company that will cut the cost of anti-malarial medicine to allow low-income countries greater access to the drug.
