Again, oil will rise (perhaps after the November elections, go figure...) and with a foothold in petroleum based, PVC products, OXY feeds off the housing and construction markets as well.

It's an almost clear outperform.

1. Oil
2. Cheap, low P/E, high ROIC
3. Value investors such as David Dreman own it

I'm just afraid of the consistent insider selling. I wouldnt buy it, but I will CAPS it :)

I am not sure on the timing or catalyst that will send Oil and gas higher and higher. I do feel that it will happen because of limited supply, growing demand and political turmoil in many regions of production.

As I write this Oil is trading above $81 per barrel. The supply/demand ratio is still tight. The developing world is still drinking Oil as fast as it can be pulled out of the ground. Somebody needs to be finding more Oil and OXY is just the company...
