Peet's Coffee and Tea is a specialty retailer with 112 stores in the U.S. Starbucks is a risk towards Peet's, but I believe that with their uniqueness, Peet's will survive and provide great returns in the long run.

There is definatly room for Peets to coexist with Starbucks and this is the type of product that does have a brand loyalty factor. Peets just needs to build up the momentum that seemed easy for Starbucks. If there is a choice between Peets and Star...

The best coffee. The company is determined to keep it that way. Growth is slow but steady. They have a lot of pride in their product.

Selling at historical low valuation. Just beginning to come out of the low slump. Great growth prospects in a huge coffee industry.

Great coffee. A "better" version of Starbucks. The negative: my sense is that management is not as shareholder focused (read "profit") as Starbucks, but the better mousetrap theory wins the day.
