Pharmaceuticals have had a tough road of late, but I like solid company's like Pfizer. A nice dividend to go along with a financially sound company makes for a combination that has a better than average chance of beating the market over the next few years.

The continuing rise of generic prescription drugs, and the Democratic legislation that will support them will spell the doom of Pfizer's high profit margins. They may still be a solid company, and they will continue to grow slowly over the long term, but they will never be what they once were. You're better off somewhere else.
