Technically speaking, prior to this weeks close it was extremely oversold. IMO, due to negative news related to legal issues (and the sell-off in the market at large). These legal issues will not be resolved any time soon and I expect the market will forget about them before the EPS announcement in July.
The July EPS report should be a catalyst to the positive trend.
I do not expect the S&P500 to be difficult to beat over the summer months.
Since I changed my timeframe, I guess I should comment. Nothing has changed except the price per share; after earnings after-hours $34 (Merry Christmas). QCOM continues to lead the pack. Growth continues and new 'generation' technology is waiting for the next cycle upgrade. Any price less than the PE of 35 for QCOM should beat the S&P 500 over the next 3 years. Akin to VLO, a no brainer.
