is a defensive stock because of the high div. and I believe we are heading for an economic slowdown and eventually the fed wil cut rates, so a div. of 4 plus percent is pretty good right now.

Pros: the bulk of legal trouble behind it, diversified business lines, market leading brands for most, if not all, of RAI?s products, and a near 5% dividend.

Cons: being in the tobacco business, RAI is susceptible to litigation, but this is the risk...
