Once Rubicon begins to extract the high grade gold that lay inside their claims, this company will take off. The fact that their mines are located in a stable country (Canada), and the owners own 21% of company shares makes RBY all the more attractive.
Robert McEwen (former Chairman and CEO of Goldcorp, owns 31% of the company) is to sell all of his Rubicon stock on or about October 5, 2010.
In his statement about Rubicon he says it is a "great company. They have excellent management, an important discovery, and a strong treasury with which to explore and develop it."
He explains his enormous sale this way: "The Company has grown to represent a disproportionate share of my stock portfolio for an investment where I am not actively involved in management. This step is designed to focus my interests in the companies I run, US Gold Corporation and Minera Andes".
I own stock at Rubicon and this news is important for us shareholders so I share it. Link to a more detailed article:
