Dr.Reddy's is (in)famous for picking up drugs immediately after the patents expire and minting money. They are into generic drugs. with Walmart's $4 drugs, the demand for generic drugs from overseas is high. I wouldn't trust the chinese to give me medicine but Indian Pharma industry is quite well developed. Dr.Reddy's Labs makes good money domestically as well as through exports to Americas and Africa. With generic drugs, cost is the only barrier with no much research required.
