Clearly they will not beat out the market, through the Q1 2008, if some drastic improvement occurs in home building then this pick might be wrong, however I highly doubt that might actually happen. Look for this stock to continue downward with a squ...

The funny thing about Ryland is that it is headquartered within 200m of Countrywide in Calabasas, California. That cannot be a reassuring feeling considering the situation.

It is easy to be a bear on homebuliders, but over 1.5B of it's balance sheet...

What's this?! Another outperform call on a homebuilder? Has this TMFEldrehad guy gone off his rocker? Lost his marbles? Is he suddenly a taco or two short of a combination plate? Doesn't he read the newspapers? Watch T.V.? Listen to the radio?...

Okay ... so I tried a swing short on some of the homies that had popped up a few weeks ago. Most of them worked out for minor gains and a few lost. Now, with the rate cuts, Fed. stimulus, gas going down and whatever else, ... changed my thinking that...

Housing market is going down. Nope haven't seen the bottom nor will we for a while. But you say, "People need a house to live in!" True True. But at what price. Maybe affordable housing. But the foreclosure/default rates show another story. Ther...

Homebuilding market still has steam in pockets. I see this stock climbing since there are still plenty of areas with demand (Florida) and if there aren't any major storms in the south, demand should continue to flourish.

Lots of talk right now about whether the housing market will have a soft landing or is crashing. Either way, I see house building stocks heading south faster than the S&P. Speculation is high right now and since the economic growth report missed its ...

With high interest rates, a cooling housing market, home values declining, and a subprime/mortgage bubble, I don't see high priced homebuilders going anywhere but down for the near future.

We're building 1 million new homes, we're selling 500K of those new homes. Excess supply of 500K (annualized). Housing prices will continue to be pressured as seen in the home-price-to-income ratio, and the rent-price ratio. RYL may go up in absol...

The investment thesis is based on the homeowner bailout that's coming soon, in a few days or weeks perhaps, but at any rate no longer than 6 months (we might have to wait till the inauguration in case the cowboy freaks out). The bailout will have a t...
