I am stealing this idea from the VIC website. It's a great idea, though the value the author places on SATS I believe vastly understates the upside potential, particularly if Ergen commences the stock buyback as indicated in the filings. This stock is Exhibit A of why there is so much money to be made in special situations. This would be a case study if Greenblatt's You Can Be A Stock Market Genius were being written now.

(That wasn't a pitch, I didn't even describe what the company does!)
