This company sells a legally addictive product. And they make it so much better than their competitors that I willingly drive 5 miles out of the way every morning to get an expensive cup of Starbucks instead of suffering with the brew from McDonalds...

The market perception is to hate SBUX right now. Management is too good to let this persist. SBUX has hit bottom and will return in the next six months.

international growth is steadily increasing, and is a potentially far larger market than the US. virtually no debt, and incredibly low costs to open and expand markets. plus, recent moves into new categories (ie entertainment) have been successes.

In lieu of yesterdays superb same-store sales, I think SBUX has enough momentum to carry through within the next 2-4 years. I love the company and know many people who cannot live a day without their starbucks fix.
