3 big reasons for this to be down
1) Bad press on melamine and other chemicals they make
2) Nano PCC is not really that unique though they claim exclusive mfg rights. There are alot of submicron GCC & PCC producers in the world.
3) Major selling of Chinese investors shares, what looks like 1.5 million shares after what appears to be the quiet period.

Doesn't bode well for this company anytime soon if ever. Wish I had done more dd on this. Will also sell my shares soon at a loss.

Regarding #2, I thought their manufacturing process is supposedly much more cost-effective than their competitors'.

#1. From what I understood, SDTH use melamine in environmentally friendly adhesives. I know melamine has been under fire because of some knuckleheads using it to add protein to cat and dog food and who knows what else, but Im hoping SDTH had nuthing to do with this.

Not many, from what I could find. At least not ones that are publicly traded. And SDTH supposedly uses a much more cost-effective method than its competitors. Love this stock. I expect it to do very well for years to come. Same with YTEC (another Chinese co with stellar fundamentals, just beginning to awaken from its hibernation). Do your DD, but I think you will like what you see from YTEC if you think SDTH is worth a long term investment. Good luck.

I can see that your effort in life with SDTH is short. You should of gotten out at 9. or you probably had no money in it anyway. Plus for the confidence of your talks it appears your ratings is underperform. I'm no expert or even a pro but atleast I'm in the top ten. Reconsider this, not everyone makes a good call. If you are uncomfortable with it do not break rule number 1 and the only rule>>>>>> Never lose money.

SDTH next qtr will increase capacity by nearly 50% higher.
Current capacity is 130,000 metric tons. Next qtr SDTH will add
another 60,000 metric tons to capacity bringing total to 190,000
metric tons.

This is a partial from SeekingAlpha article:

"In 2003, SDTH had 30,000 metric tons of annual capacity. In August
2006, they built a new plant and added 60,000 tons. This summer, they
added another 40,000 tons. Now, SDTH is in the process of completing
another 60,000 tons of capacity. This additional capacity, expected
online in 1Q08, will bring their total to 190,000 metric tons
annually, and make SDTH the largest NPCC supplier in China. The way we
see it, the only obstacle to continuing strong, high-margin,
double-digit growth is keeping up with demand."
