With their acquisition of Organon Pharmaceuticals, they have added a few key drugs to their armamentarium, including one that is currently awaiting FDA approval: sugammadex. Sugammadex has the possibility of radically changing how we administer anesthesia, making it much safer. I predict that, if the current clinical studies are proven right, and the drug gains FDA approval, you will not be able to find a hospital, O.R., procedure room, or clinic without sugammadex.
