I am a chemical engineer completing my masters thesis. I have ordered much from Sigma-Aldrich and their customer service is excellent, along with the high quality of their products. However, this imparts a higher price than Fisher Scientific, about 10% - 20% higher sometimes. Overall, there will always be innovation and Sigma-Aldrich will be there to buy it up.
