This is why I have love this stock and have been following it for a year now.1) SIGA-246, its smallpox vaccine, is the industry leading vaccine that is NOT made from a live virus (hence you cannot contract the virus). 2) SIGA-246 just passed its safety trials and its orphan drug status with the FDA, so the government can start stockpiling under Project Bioshield.3) Project Bioshield allows for $1.65 Billion for U.S. stockpiles of the smallpox vaccine by 2013.4) SIGA-246 was actually given to a two year old boy who contacted a derivative of smallpox from his father who is in the Army and was recently vaccinated. The CDC thought so highly of SIGA-246 they allowed the boy to receive the drug. After two days he was out of intensive care. PR disaster for the Pentagon, but HUGE for SIGA. I expect SIGA to reach $12-18 in the next 12 months after government contracts begin to roll in. Expect a buyout by a large Pharm. in the next 2-5 years.
