Silver is an essential element in circuit boards and the shortfall in silver mined vs. silver used is significant. This shortfall was met in the past by using up large stockpiles. These stockpiles are gone and silver is heading to $50 oz.

They are finally in production on what I believe is the largest silver mine in the world. I think the stock has sold off becuase of some exposure to the illiquidity of some some financial instruments.

I have to say that I'm riding the line on this one, kind of 50/50 that it'll go up or down. Bought this on the recommendation of someone who does pretty well. I hope he's right, but if he's not, it won't be a huge loss for me...only about $4K
