What you are witnessing is the last gasps of Six Flags, the perpetual death march. Six Flags is in the last stages before bankruptcy proceedings. They maintain 2.25 billion dollars in debt with just a shade over 105 million in on hand cash. SIX is producing massive losses each year on the order of 125-250M. You can do the math here folks..if they are LUCKY they have 10-11 months of cash viability left and I think I am being more than generous. Consumers are hanging onto their cash right now and Im sorry to say but the poor weather excuse only works for so long. It's time to hang up the towel, SIX is all wet. Roll out the chapter 11 carpet...NeroSagetrade

I wonder if I can buy a roller coaster at a deep discount after they go bankrupt...

SIX flags, Inc. generates nearly a Billion dollars in revenue annually, and is improving margins. Yo can easily manage 2B in debt with 1B in annual revenue. Mark Shapiro and his team have clearly turned this ship around, and I am riding this rollercoaster to four dollars. They are in far better shape than all of the US airlines combined. If you want to buy a rollercoaster cheap, contact the NY office, or log on to sixflags.com...they have several in New Orleans, that they would like to sell.
