Two factors of concern:1) if the Dem incumbent PSC member loses the runoff election in Dec 2006 then the largest subsiduiary of SO will likely have a hostile regulatory environment; bad news with a rate case scheduled for 2007, 2) major capital expenditures likely as the South continues to grow; will these costs translate into added profits or a repeat of the profit duldrums of the late 80s?
