Emerging Technology of Photovoltaic cells. This company makes the Cadillac Product of solar cells, panels, inverters and imaging detectors. Their solar panels cost more because they are made to withstand the forces of nature. All of the other competitors in this field make solar panels that are cheaper but cannot withstand the pelting of dime size Hail, don't walk on the competitor’s panels either they will crack, not so with Sun Powers panels. When the department of the Air force wanted to outfit their airbase in southern California they picked Sun Power over the rest for good reason. When you are going to put in 1 square mile of panels making sure they will not fail is a high priority. In the future when large electric companies go to outfit their selves with Panels, they too will choose the most reliable panels. I have not even talked about how their product is the highest efficiency in the market. SunPower boast the highest-efficiency systems over all the competitors.
