As many of you may have already guessed, I'm a huge fan of Peter Lynch and his style of investing. Simpson Mfg Co is right up his ally, and as a result, it's right up my ally. It's totally boring and better yet it makes piles of money. This company manufactures.....connectors and walls. There's an exciting topic of conversation for your next blind date.Joking aside, this company is very cheap in my opinion. Recently it's shares took a beating, from what I think is mostly due to unwarranted fear, from macroeconomic conditions created by the current housing market slow down. Simpson recently declared a quarterly dividend, and insiders must have faith in the business model because they own upwards of a 20 percent stake in company...almost always a good sign of financial health. This company has plenty of moolah hidden under the mattress to weather these times of a cooling housing market, and when the storm passes hang on tight....we're going to make money from selling connectors and walls.....YeeHaw!
