3D printing is the wave of the future. But could you create a 3D printer so powerful that it could print ANOTHER 3D printer?! Be very afraid of that, investors!

Already done... sort of... I pulled this from their facebook page:
"Getting excited for CMTS in Toronto next week, Oct 17-20. Visit Stratasys in booth 1339 to discover new ways to streamline manufacturing and reduce costs.

In our booth will be a replica of the Fortus 400mc, made entirely out of ABS plastic using FDM Technology, and see the new Fortus 250mc printing live during the show."

Interestingly enough, after I posted this I stumbled across a 3-D printer that's designed specifically to print copies of itself. Open-source and everything. I'm still keeping my upthumb, because those machines are just for hobbyists, but it could be a threat down the line.
