Once the gold standard of PC utilities, Symantec software has become unreliable and flaky to install. I was a loyal cutomer for a decade, but recently I find that installing new Symantec software has good chance of screwing up a perfectly good computer, converting a happily running system into one that is broken. Their system support consists of "uninstall everything, then reinstall it; if that doesn't work, reload the operating system". Norton Ghost is still a great backup program, and PartitionMagic is wonderful, but I would think the future looks bleak for Symantec as a whole.

Well informed analysis of this companies products. I find myself in complete agreement with fsc137. Regardless of speculation this companies base product is not the clear choice for end users. Until that changes I cannot see this stock going anywhere.
