I believe if the company does not stop buying the competition they can not beat will not perform well. The networks are aging and they are more focused on buying then upgrading their networks.

Your facts are not correct. SBC has always purchased companies that were underperforming; Pacific Bell, Ameritec, AT&T. They aren't in business to give it away. They don't build network to have it resold and they don't build network in small markets. Not popular with all but good business.

T is buying Statewide Franchise's. The competition is now on the defensive. Your CATV provider is willing to cancel their current francise renewal for the more lucrative Statewide Franchise proposed by T. Or fight AT&T.
I have it as My favorite on a 7 pick. I do not believe that it's over so soon
