A good company with a plan. How extensive that plan is and how far based it's bases it's strategy against it's competition is yet to be send. Yet, their purchase of a very large block of spectrum show that they want to expand more into the wireless sector. With strong hints towards WiFi base internet on cell phones.I strongly think that the days of portable computing and phones will reach the point soon where you will be able to carry your office in the palm of your hand for the average worker. Currently, that function is basically available for senior executives using Blackberries in major corporations and just like cell phone after ten years after their introduction, everyone else will be doing it because its "necessary".How soon will you get to the point where you will be able to see first run movies on your hand held unit without the need of going to a theater and dealing with the crowded seating and parking lots? How soon before you can watch cable TV on your hand held (600 channels of nothing on) without worrying how to hookup all of the TV/VCR/DVD/Computer/Home Theater components to the cable connection. It's all about communication and AT&T is about that in a big way. It's only a question of who will get there first: AT&T or Verizon.
