I have hopes that T can leverage the momentum from the iPhone into further market opportunities despite some of the initial criticism off of iPhone activation. While, like the iPod, I think the iPhone will take a couple generations to truly realize its potential, I agree that it has the possiblity to change the landscape and carry T along for at least a part of the ride. Additionaly, I take heart that T has continued to press forward with other devices like the new Blackberry which appeals, in my mind, to a somewhat different market segment. While I love Verizon as a user, I think T, with its acquisition of Cingular, has the potential to be a serious competitor and has done far more than Verizon to create desirable phone products while, every time I buy a new Verizon phone, I wander the store wondering which I wouldn't mind have rather than which I must have.
