Teva is the world's biggest generic drug company. They are usually first with a generic when an important drug goes off patent. Any time you see analysts' talking about "bad news" for Pfizer or Merck et al about brand name drugs nearing the end of patent protection, notice the invisible ink between the lines. That is the "good news" for TEVA.Also, if the US gets a Democrat in '08 look for any universal healthcare initiative to use the US Veteran's Administration as a model. That model includes an aggressive push toward generic drugs. Rx drug costs are a major fraction of overall healthcare costs.
