I first bought TIF in the mid 70s when I noticed that their prime property on 5th Av. was carried in the books at 0. I was then a rookie broker at Blyth,Eastman,Dillon, barely out of training. I predicted the equivalent of what is now Trump Tower. Sorry. I am not bragging here. It's a fact. I flew from New York to Paris to present my case to a Greek financier who actually stood me up. A few weeks later the company was taken over. I still think that TIF has a great future. It's a fabulous brand, expanding globally. It recently raised the dividend by 25%. I always buy on dips.
