retail should get hit hard in the coming recession and consumer slowdown. We are already seeing signs of an entrenchment of the consumer and how the consumer is over extended with credit card debt.

higher input costs will hurt margins. Max and Marshall are old and grungy concepts. Can get the same and more at TGT without the dusty discount feel.
