Talbot's stores increased same-store sales by 4% during the third quarter. The J.Jill stores were down 6.6% during the quarter. If Talbot's can get J.Jill turned around by the 2007 second quarter, as is their stated intent, the stock should be up strongly. If they don't get J.Jill turned around by then, then this was another mistake.

J. Jill's style is very loose and west coat like, it is not going well with career women in east coast. Also, pricy for casual clothing.

So far, I have had my clock cleaned in this one. I am going to hang on because the new CEO, Trudy Sullivan, has taken strong actions to turn things around. Give it some time to see if her actions yield major improvements.
