Way too cheap in valuation, they are the new #2 automaker now, not to mention they make great cars. There cars also have great resale value, so they are the only company anyone should care about.

Analysis of valuation is a recipe for ruin. Makes no difference how good (or bad) Toyota cars are or what their resale value is or a company's market share. The only thing that matters is what shareholders are willing to sell their stock for and what buyers are willing to pay for that stock at any given time. Valuation is useless.

PS...I just posted a good score(???) from shorting TM with well over a 10% gain in a month. Now, let's switch over to real life where I also shorted the stock (actually buy buying put options). My realized gain was 18% less commissions. That means I can rest my portfolio for the rest of the year and will have done better than nearly every fund manager with an open door. And remember, my money was only at risk for one month. Figure the risk to reward ratio on that.

I think they are number one now, I have two of their cars in my garage each night.

Toyota took over the #1 spot several months ago. Their cars are always rated highly by Consumer Reports for their reliability, and crash worthiness. Honda is also a terrific car manufacturer, and rated as #1 for reliability. These two car manufacturers also use more American made parts than any other company in the world.
