With its sedans perennially among the top 10 sellers, Toyota Motors makes and sells a full line of vehicles.
A history of quality and profitability. I think they'll come back up close to where they used to be.
Following Andrew's line of thought about consumer acceptance of the Toyota brand. When I attend the Souther Auto Auction in South Windsor CT thier are very few Toyotas going through the lines. The auction prices are historicaly at or above retail and the auto dealers are like a pack of wolves biding for these cars. They know the car will sell of thier lot within days of it's arrival and thier will be few if any call backs. They are willing to live with a very slim mark up for a quick turnaround with little risk of service call backs. Also a few Toyotas on thier lot are a real drawing card and when the potential buyers find they can't aford the above Blue Book price they are ripe for the sale of a vehicle in less demand.The Southern Auction has 20 auction lanes processing 3,000 to 5,000 cars every Wednesday starting at 9:00 A.M. and endiing by 12:00 Noon or so. Significant volume to use as a guide to consumer brand sentiment.
