This company makes semiconductors used by several companies such a Texas Instruments and Nvidia. Also with AMD not doing so good lately they may have another equity offering which TSM is likely to jump on. I see good things for TSM in the future.

Dear Swigz,

I won't be surprised! Acer (TAIEX:2353.TW) acquired Gateway (NYSE:GTW) and it seems companies from Taiwan are flushed with cash buying up beaten American Companies that's undervalued but has got alot of potential once the American Exchanges (DOW,NYSE,NASDAQ, and etc) goes through a CORRECTION.

Another Taiwan company Chunhwa Telecom Co. (NYSE:CHT) seems to be flushed with cash and ready to acquire. I'm sure Banks/Financial companies from Taiwan have some holdings/interest in Yahoo(Nasdaq:YHOO) and other American companies (especially tech and finance).

All in all, Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company LTD. (NYSE:TSM) having interest in acquiring Advanced Micro Devices Inc. (NYSE:AMD) is not surprising.
