I guess what mitigates the recent price disappointment in the stock is the 3.31% dividend yield...but not sure how much longer I will keep the stock......now I consider a HOLD not a buy.

Price is lagging as TSM lays in the middle of the semi-conductor market. It is making money, is a major player and demand will rise once Windows and Apple get new products delivered.

With a PEG=0.82, a forward P/E of 13.9, profit/operating margins of 37.2% and 37.5% respectively, RoA/RoE of 12.5% and 22.5%, and nearly zero debt, TSM kicks butt over Intel and AMD for a sector play. Apparently, the shorters think so too, as there's...

Stumbled on this great company. Wish I had owned it earlier. current difficulties could present the best buying opportunity. Could be a stock that if it falls, just be greatful for a chance to buy more. I will look to learn more about this company.

TSMC is by far the most dominant foundry player in the semiconductor industry. Look for them to only extend their lead since this industry takes cash to make cash, so the largest tend to lead. Combine this with the wall the industry is hitting with...

This is an outstanding stock that is recently become oversold. It is a tech mainstay, with China exposure. I see it having a 10-20% upside in the next six months. They also pay a great dividend annually.

Taiwan Semiconductor and Manufacturing is a bargain right now. The trend in the industry is to outsource the actual fabrication of chips. This trend isn't going to reverse since the costs of building new plants is prohibitive. Billions of dollars ...

When even T.I. cant stay in the FAB race, you know there's going to be a lot of consolidation. TSM, UMC, Chartered, Jazz ... not too many pure-play FABs to choose from either. I'm in TSM and expect it to zoom if there's a good announcement.
