Chicken producer's greatest cost is grain for feed and these costs will be up for 2013. However, chicken prices may likely be disproportionately higher. As a result of the 2012 drought, protein producers of beef, pork and chickens have reduced production. This should result in lower protein availability and higher prices. USDA Weekly National Whole Broiler/Fryer Report
This looks rather fairly valued overall to me, so I won't open any picks on it for a while.
I could see it dropping into the $13 area, but a stretch of getting whipsawed in the $19 to $25 zone for a few months looks more likely to me.
My score, BTW, is still in the minus area, but has been climbing the last few months. I'm confident of getting it into positive territory now that I don't rely as totally on charts as I once did.
