This car maker OWNs the Indian vihicle market, especially for trucks and buses. In the near future they will be launching a low cost auto which I expect will have massive adoption within India among the large and up and coming middle class. And that is just the picture in India. TTM has just signed agreements to partner on technology and to distribute to other emerging markets. I expect this expansion to take a while but I think they will be a solid competitor. Also note that TTM has appealing holdings outside of the auto business as well.

Thanks for sharing this. I have a VERY low opinion of US auto manufacturers so I do not see there extra focus on emerging market expansion will pose much of a threat. US auto manufacturers are fixed upon SUVs, muscle cars, pick-up trucks and other monster-size vehicles that do not make much sense in emerging markets. I think Tata will continue to thrive in India and may be succesful expanding into other developing markets.
