With crude oil soaring closer toward a $200 barrel, airlines are feeling the strain. All these record gas prices mean it will likely be a slow summer for UAUA. I expect that their significant pull in Asia will guard them against the kinds of losses we'll see at AMR and US--where business travelers and leisure travelers alike will take their strong currency to UAUA's markets, notably Florida, California, and Hawaii. But, trouble on the domestic front will be hard to beat. Bread and butter business for UAUA--the Midwest's largest carrier--will suffer as it's hometown, Chicago, sees gas reach $5/gallon.
