UNFI is at Deaths Door. This is not the first time, in 1999 they got a reprieve from Whole Foods when Tree of Life had massive iinventory problems with products not being in stock. This caused Whole Foods to change their primary supplier from Tree of Life to UNFI. Last October UNFI celebrated the renewal of that 1999 contract with Whole Foods and their Stock price exploded upward but the past two earnings periods have been dissappointments The Whole Foods annoucement that they are buying Wild Oats Which means UNFI will get stuck with a lot of inventory and their recent cash flow reported in February 2007 indicates that the company is in the red. Make no mistake the guys at the top of this distribution
