First, Seth has an underperform call on this stock, and that in itself is a good enough reason to say this is going down.

But let's see here -- negative earnings, terrible ROA and ROE (oh, but it HAS improved the ROA and ROE from more than -500% to around -30%. Talk about impressive!), a business not producing squat, overall this is a company without anything allowing it to expand without further destroying the business. So yeah, this is a hunk of junk.

I'll gladly take advantage of this random, nothing-behind-it (i.e. no news) 23% run-up on Friday to make this underperform call.

And whoever suggested the company change its name to "Uranerz" must have been sleepwalking and suggesting it to drugged executives.

Just a few more amusing findings:

According to Google Finance, URZ had 2 (yes, two) employees as of the latest quarter. Geez, seems like it'd be hard to run an operation and expand with two employees without working them to death.

I also found it amusing that the company's secretary is listed with upper management on Google: http://finance.google.com/finance?q=urz If they're at the point where a secretary is considered one of the board members, I'd say things aren't going the way they wish they were.

This worthless stock will be at zero within five years.

I shorted this stock at 5 and somehow is making it to $6 bucks today but I won't cover my short anytime soon. This stock has no line of credit, all the money was raised through the stock offering and so far is virtually not making any money at all.

Looks like you guys got caught in the uranium speculative bubble... Have you seen the uranium spot price 10 year chart? Looks just like the real estate chart... steady incline for a while, then straight up...
