Understand what you are buying here: Visa gets paid for PROCESSING debit and credit transactions. They are not responsible for the risk associated with default (except to say that those who lose their ability to charge are removed from their client base). They have better margins then Master Card, and will play a key role in the increased use of debit cards (aka check cards). Great exposure as the premier sponsor of the Olympic Games (this summer in Beijing, China). As the world moves towards using cash less and plastic more, (can't use cash as efficiently as a credit card to purchase items on line or in a foreign country), Visa will continue to be everywhere you want to be. Good play on increased personal wealth throughout the world. The IPO is priced a bit rich, but the potential for solid, sustained growth warrants the premium. 1/3 in under $50, if you can...
