Yes, IPOs tend to be overvalued to start off.

You're kidding, right? Have you seen the earnings? Do you know that this stock is the FIRST U.S. stock the Republic of China has ever invested in? If you haven't already bought in, you will wish you had...

but probably Rep. of China bought it at $44, so they are already making tons of money...at $63/share it's a $50 billion company and I think it's a little overpriced (at least for now).

You're on crack! I hope you short it to your extreme detriment. : )

To strong anf now all the big banks are selling there shares. Less shares higher price. After earnings report for the next quarter this stock is $100.00 and EXCELLENT long term value here..

Still going at $72. Doesn't make sense to me, wish I didn't sell this short so early. Think it looks good to sell now at $72. Should we really invest in things that China invests in? Apparently, so.

I find it amusing that the most insulting replies are coming from people with scores of <20, to a guy with a current score of 99.53, telling him he doesn't know what he's talking about.I guess basically, if someone makes a call and that call doesn't happen in 2-4 weeks, despite being ranked in the top half of the top percent, that makes them an idiot.Right.

The highly-rated players will be proven right. I just wonder how many people look at VISA's price at $80, compare it to Mastercard's at $300, and think "wow, Visa is so much cheaper!" I do have an outperform rating on this stock, but it's very timid and very long term. I think VISA is going to get quite a nasty correction here soon (it may have started with the 5% drop).

Yep, even though MA is higher price, its actually "cheaper" in terms of P/E and Shareholders Equity.V is overpriced for what it is. It doesn't even include its foreign operations like MA does!Underperform on V for the 2 above reasons AND as people find they owe too much on everything, their use of plastic will go down worldwide. (Hey, US doesn't just import Hollywood, it also imports financial upheavals.

Even though your score is still underwater on this pick, congratulations on being correct, despite all the snarky comments you received before you ended up being right. Also, congrats on reaching the top 10. Not sure if you've been there before, but I just noticed you hit #10.
goldminingXpert (99.99) Submitted: 10/10/08 5:20 PM
Thanks for the kind comments Kdakota. I'm stunned that I got this pick right by this much and am still down. Stock is down 10 points from my pick, and I'm still underwater. Crazy times. Finally getting a rally though, I red thumbed all the ultra shorts this morning, that's what put me in the top 10 and hopefully will keep me there as the market recovers. It is crazy how people with 10 picks and a <20 rating assume us veterans have no idea what we're talking about. I'm wrong on stocks (a lot), but I don't use my stock picking thumb cluelessly.
