Leader in oncology equipment i.e. directed radiation treatment. Expensive equipment, but constant innovation should continue to drive future growth. Demographics favor expanded health care coverage as well.

Medical diagnostics (early detection) combined with improved medical imaging and directed tight beam radiotherapy (VAR) will likely do more to improve cancer treatment than new pharmaceutical options.

Slowed overseas growth and the integration of ACCEL will unfavorably affect this company in the short term. The temptation is to rate underperform for a few months, but remail bullish long term.

i agree, iMRT (intensity-Modulated Radiation Therapy) is revolutionizing the medical imaging field. i like companies whose medical devices have industrial/commercial and DoD applications, such as the SIP (Security and Inspection Products). take a look at the 10-Q dated 6 Feburary 2006, and look under heading, OTHER.
non-invasive cargo inspection with the ability to penetrate 17" of steel, plus the ability to detect nuclear devices, etc will lead the way in Homeland Port Security globally, IMO.
