On the charts, VDSI was showing a steady five-year-long growth before it suddenly spiked up in mid to late 2007. The crash in its price seems to correspond pretty well with the rest of the financial industry. Because its technology is certainly something one would expect to be marketed at the collapsing financial sector, it is natural to assume that their sales would be affected by the financial crisis. So, I've decided that to me, this makes VDSI yet another company that was merely collateral damage in the recession; its ticker knocked down simply by association with the financial market. With that assumption, my take is that eventually, VDSI will rebound and then resume its long term growth.
